As part of our R&D expansion plan and SME Instrument Horizon 2020 project kick-off we’re currently expanding our biology group and looking for a highly motivated and talented scientist to work as: BIOLOGY SENIOR SCIENTIST / TEAM LEADER (based in Lublin, Poland) Ref. Florida International Medical Expo 2019 Posted on 12 July 201912 July 2019 by Paulina Czarnecka The Florida International Medical Expo is the largest medical trade fair across the Americas which will bring together medical and healthcare trade professionals from North, Central and South America, as well as from across the globe, to do business with national and international companies exhibiting new and refurbished medical and hospital equipment, technology, products and supplies. This year event took place in Miami Beach. We’ve represented Poland at Polish National Stand. It was great opportunity to meet new people and talk more about our breakthrough innovation inPROBE. Around 500 top Roche Executives and carefully selected 40 startups, among them us presenting our disruptive inPROBE technology as the only startup from CentralEurope, came together to talk about Driving Healthcare into the Future.Several great presentations, keyonte speaks on innovation, round tables, workshops, SDSOptic brand table, Mateusz Sagan pitching and talking about inPROBE and our Co-Founders Magdalena Staniszewska and Marcin Staniszewski speaking to many Roche Team Members. Key take aways from the summit:– the future is around Value Based Healthcare– Point-of-Care targeted Diagnostics is key – in confront with several innovative targeted treatments– Managing Patients data in one place– AI & Blockchain has widely arrived to Healthcare– AI is not going to replace Doctors. It was first edition of the Money.pl award has been launched. SDS Optic was in grand final with 11 companies like: CD Projekt, Synthos, Dom Development, Eobuwie. Judges has chosen companies and technologies that are going to shape the future of the Polish economy. We are so happy to be one of them. Whole event has taken part during Impact CEE in Cracow. Instead of this we’ve been also nominated for Next Health Investment Pitch organized in cooperation with Amgen Ventures. Startups with tomorrow’s ideas in medicine, competed for the attention of top pharmaceutical companies and VC funds.
Euronext 2019 Paris Posted on 22 May 201922 May 2019 by Paulina Czarnecka European Innovation Council (EIC), as part of Business Acceleration Services for its selected SME Instrument funded project, has invited TOP40 selected fast-growing DeepTech SMEs for a scaling up day at Euronext HQ in Paris La Dafense.SDS Optic with its disruptive cancer diagnostic device has been one of the company participating in the event.With introduction of Romain Bouttier from EASME and Camille Leca, Euronext Chief Operating Officer Listing, we all had a chance to go through the Financing Journey and get ready for scaling up by IPO at Euronext in the future. We have learned a lot about step-by-step process of going public, raising money on regulated markets, we meet more than 20 top European investors, had a great networking discussions and pitching sessions.At the end of the day we visited main floor and took a part in Closing Bell of Euronext floors all over Europe.Everyone could also ring the bell and feel like just being listed.

The first event was held in 2000 (previously under the name Bio-Forum) in Łódź at the initiative of professor Tadeusz Pietrucha, a biotechnologist, associate professor of the Medical University in Łódź. The objective of the Central European BioForum is to present Polish biotechnological sector to foreign investors and encourage their engagement. At yesterday’s edition SDS Optic CEO Marcin Staniszewski took part in discussion about funds for recapitalization of biotech companies. Conference was a great opportunity to talk about Bridge Alfa programme and meet representatives of National Centre of Research and Development.
Top 500 Innovators Meet Up, Wroclaw Posted on 13 May 201913 May 2019 by Paulina Czarnecka Since 2011 alumni of the Top500 Innovators Programme have organized meet up to boost cooperation between science and business. SDS Optic team was invited by organizers as main lecturers. We’ve taken part in discussion panels. Magdalena Staniszewska and Marcin Staniszewski were main speakers at MedTech-related startup technology debate. Next day our company was represented by Chief Business Officer Mateusz Sagan at discussion panel about BioTech-related startup technology. Whole event was full of keynotes heart-warming speeches, Pitch Decks for innovators, Affiliates Brokerage Events, networking sessions with guests from US and GB Embassy and Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Except that organizers have delivered extraordinary workshops with 10 tools as canvas for participants after workshops. It was great honor for us to be there. We hope to visit following meet up next year.

We’ve been talking about new funding opportunities and inPROBE project as a flagship HORIZON 2020 beneficiary from Poland. Mateusz Sagan our Chieff Business Officer has taken part in panel and Q&A discussion with notable company like: Patrick Child, Deputy Director General of DG RTD, European Commission, Kinga Stanisławska, High Level Group of Innovators of EIC, Mateusz Gaczyński Director, Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The organizer of event was: European Commission, CE Representation in Poland, Polish National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU. The EIC pilot was first introduced in 2018 under the current Horizon 2020 programme. Building on that experience, European Commission now introduces enhanced funding schemes supporting great ideas and innovation.

Fighting for final in MedTech Innovator Global Awards Posted on 25 April 201925 April 2019 by Paulina Czarnecka SDS Optic has been selected from more than 850 medtech startups from all over the world and only one from Poland for a pitching sessions at MedTech Innovator worldwide competition. MedTech Innovator is the industry’s non profit global competition and accelerator for medical device, digital health and diagnostic companies. In 2019,MedTech Innovator and it’s partners will give out up to $500K in cash prizes and awards. Mateusz Sagan – SDS Optic Chief Business Officer has presented our #inPROBE disruptive technology in front of five different group of judges, each followed by 15-20 minutes of Q&A. We hope to qualify for the next stages and to become a top finalist with grand prize winner at year end MedTech Conference. Fingers crossed
